Drainage solutions · Lake Livingston

Get your property working with the rain.

Drainage solutions for homes and commercial properties. Start with the source of the water, understand the site, and discuss a plan that fits.

Start with the property

The right solution starts with the right questions.

Where does the water come from? Where does it collect? Where can it safely leave? These questions guide the conversation before choosing a drain or changing the grade.

Collect surface water

Surface drains and catch basins can collect water at low points. Positioning and a suitable outlet matter as much as the drain itself.

Give runoff a route

Grading and swales can guide surface runoff through a property. The route needs to fit the site and the surrounding improvements.

Consider water below grade

French drains and other subsurface options may help in the right conditions. Soil, depth and discharge all affect the choice.

Each property is different. The final scope and drainage approach are determined after discussing the site.

03Drainage solutions

Standing water deserves a closer look.

Drainage is a main focus at Shaw’s. If water keeps collecting in the same places, start with a conversation about the site and the options that may fit.

  • Concrete drainage channels and grate systems
  • Surface drainage and catch-basin options
  • French-drain and subsurface drainage options
  • Grading and swale options
  • Runoff routing around homes and businesses
  • Drainage alongside retaining walls and hardscape
